I was watching the final episode of the “Fringe” Season2, sitting little bent on chair.

The scene in the serial was somewhat like this : “they were discussing on warm holes and crossing to parallel universe and just made it..” then I could feel my chair to be shivering. I paused it immediately and stood up. I noticed the clothes hanging on the hanger were shaking. It was strange, before I could understand it was a mild earthquake. I go a Tweet on tweet-deck -”Earthquake in Delhi” and so that was the logical explanation that my mind was seeking for this weird happening.

And now I know it was coz of the

It was 17th September 2010, midnight and around 1 AM (day is changed to 18th Now ) everyone was working in office – Noida and I was returning after having my regular mid-night tea. I was there with one of my office colleague – Sandip Das. We were in lift going towards 4th floor. When we just were outside our entrance of the project section, we saw people running towards EMERGENCY EXIT, we were standing and trying to figure out what happened here exactly.

All we could understand was it was some sort of drill as the alarm lights were blinking. Meanwhile 2 guards shouted on us and told to go downstairs, we have been hit with and earthquake.. We were surprise when and how, we followed the orders and wend down the stairs.everyone was standing now below building and was happy, reason being no work now

Then people told us that there was mild earthquake for 30seconds and building was shaking a bit, so for precaution we were told to vacate the building.. there was all sort of discussion now, someone said, what if? the building falls down, holiday!! we would go for holidays as there would be no office.. It was real fun .. all jokes.. made up.

I had come back from tea and went for another tea. Returned back after 30 mins and everybody was normal. I returned back home at 3 AM.

Late I checked the news and found this:

An official with the Indian Meteorological Department, which monitors earthquakes, said the 4.3-magnitude quake struck at about 4:43 a.m. Besides the capital, the tremor was felt in surrounding areas such as Noida (UP), Faridabad and Gurgaon (both in Haryana).

The epicentre of the tremor was at the Delhi-Haryana border at 28.6 N latitude and 77.9 E longitude.
